I recently blogged about the opportunity to review the K5 Online Learning Program in exchange for my honest review.
K5 is an online reading and math program for kids grade kindergarten to 5th grade. It can be used for homeschoolers or kids attending school. When you start the program they provide you with an online assessment of your reading and math skills. I liked being able to see that I was on track with my learning and areas of strength and weaknesses. The program is customized to your learning assessment so, you are not bored with learning things you already know.
K5 Reading is used to helps kids develop a love of reading. The program covers phonemic awareness, phonics, sight words, vocabulary, and reading comprehension.
K5 Math program helps kids have a better understanding of math concepts that helps build self confidence. The Math program covers numbers and operations, geometry, measurement (including time and money), algebraic thinking and data analysis.
K5 Spelling helps improves language skills with advanced vocabulary. They feature adaptive instruction, automatic word generation, an optimized visual interface, and a 150,000+ word database. One of my spelling words was cigarette which I did find a little unusual.
K5 Math Facts helps kids develop instant recall of basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts. I loved working with my multiplication facts and the 5 minute time reward of game play was really awesome!
Some of the benefits for kids using K5 is that you can work independently, progress at your own pace, and do not feel pressured.

Overall, I would definitely use K5 Learning again! I found the lessons to be fun and was not bored with the program. I did not find any offensive material. It was a very enjoyable experience that I was able to work on at my own pace. The reward game time for working on my multiplication tables made it a fun. I continued to return to this section because it was so fun. I hope you will give K5 Learning a try if you are looking for a supplement to your current educational needs.
I have tried several programs out there and by far this one has been the best that I have found!
Thank you K5 Learning for offering this free program trial for my honest review!
God Bless,
