Fruit of The Spirit Sundays - Gentleness

The eighth fruit of the spirit is gentleness.  Fruit is a perfect example of something we have to be gentle with.  I know from going to the grocery store with my Mom and Dad.  They are careful with the fruit they put into their cart and as they go through the grocery line.  If they are not gentle with it, when they get it home it is in bad shape over the next few days. 

To be gentle is to be soft and careful.  Jesus was a perfect example of gentleness while he was here on earth.  He showed his gentle spirit to children as he told them to come to him and he set them on his knee.  He spoke kind words to others. 

Let's practice being gentle this week.  Letting our words be soft and kind towards others.
